    Day 1: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

    Begin your trek at the Marangu Gate, where you'll complete park registration before setting off on your hike.     Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

    After breakfast, continue your ascent from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut, located at 3,700 meters (12,140 feet). The trek takes around 5-6 hours and transitions from rainforest to alpine moorlands. Along the way, you’ll experience stunning views of the surrounding landscape and have opportunities to spot wildlife and unique flora. Upon reaching Horombo Hut, take time to acclimatize and relax. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in the alpine setting.

    Day 3: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

    On this day, trek from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut, situated at 4,700 meters (15,420 feet). The hike takes approximately 5-6 hours through increasingly barren and high-altitude terrain. The landscape changes from the lush moorlands to the stark, lunar-like zone of the high altitudes. Upon arrival at Kibo Hut, prepare for the upcoming summit attempt with an early dinner and rest. The night will be short as the summit push begins in the early hours.

    Day 4: Summit Attempt and Return to Horombo Hut

    The summit attempt starts in the early hours, typically around midnight. Begin your ascent from Kibo Hut through the dark, icy slopes of the crater rim. The climb is challenging but rewards you with sunrise views from Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet). After celebrating your achievement and taking in the breathtaking views, descend back to Kibo Hut for a brief rest. Continue your descent to Horombo Hut, where you'll spend the night, recovering from the summit push.

    Day 5: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate and Departure

    After breakfast, start your final descent from Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate. The trek takes about 6-7 hours and leads you through lush rainforest, offering a different perspective of Kilimanjaro's diverse ecosystems. Upon reaching Marangu Gate, complete the park exit formalities and receive your summit certificate. Transfer back to Kilimanjaro International Airport or your accommodation in Arusha, concluding your remarkable Kilimanjaro adventure.
