Your adventure begins with an early departure from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Renowned for its large elephant herds and striking baobab trees, Tarangire offers excellent wildlife viewing. After arriving and checking into your lodge, embark on a game drive through the park’s diverse habitats. Look for the Big 5 and other wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue your safari in the afternoon. Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
On the second day, travel to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its incredible wildlife and stunning landscapes. Descend into the crater floor for a full day of game viewing in this natural amphitheater. The crater’s diverse ecosystems provide excellent chances to see all members of the Big 5, along with other wildlife like hyenas, flamingos, and various antelopes. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the crater’s breathtaking scenery. In the late afternoon, head to your lodge near the crater rim for dinner and relaxation.
Day 3: Return to Arusha and Departure
On your final day, after breakfast, travel back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time to explore local markets or attractions. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes.
