Today is dedicated to finding the iconic tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha sector. Drive south through the park to Ishasha, where prides of lions have developed the remarkable habit of climbing fig trees to escape the heat and avoid biting insects. Spend the day game driving through this remote and beautiful area.

Afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Ishasha sector, surrounded by the pristine wilderness of southern Queen Elizabeth NP. Continue your game drive through this remote area, keeping an eye on the fig trees for lounging lions. Ishasha is less visited than the main park sector, offering a more exclusive safari experience. The afternoon heat often sees the lions resting in the trees, making this an ideal time for sightings.
