Nestled beneath the shadow of Mount Meru, Arusha is a bustling town and the perfect starting point for your safari. After checking into your hotel, you can relax and unwind from your journey. If time permits, you might explore local markets or enjoy a leisurely walk around town. Prepare for your safari adventure as you enjoy a restful night in preparation for the days ahead.
After breakfast, you'll head to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and impressive baobab trees. The drive to Tarangire takes approximately two hours, and upon arrival, you’ll embark on a game drive through the park’s varied landscapes, including river valleys and savannah plains. Tarangire is also home to a significant population of buffalo, as well as predators such as lions and leopards. The park’s diverse ecosystems offer great opportunities for spotting wildlife and bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, and continue your game drive until the late afternoon. You’ll then head to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you’ll travel to Serengeti National Park, one of Tanzania’s most famous wildlife reserves. The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with stunning views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. Arriving in the Serengeti, you’ll begin your exploration of this iconic landscape, characterized by its vast plains and abundant wildlife. The Serengeti is renowned for its high concentrations of predators and prey, offering excellent chances to see lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes. You’ll spend the afternoon on a game drive, capturing the essence of this incredible park. Today, you’ll have a full day to explore the Serengeti, with morning and afternoon game drives ensuring you maximize your chances of seeing the Big Five. The Serengeti’s diverse habitats, including grasslands, woodlands, and rivers, provide excellent opportunities to encounter lions hunting, leopards hiding in trees, and large herds of elephants and buffaloes. The park is also a great place to spot cheetahs and other wildlife. A picnic lunch in the bush allows you to stay immersed in the wildlife action throughout the day. In the evening, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and relaxation under the African sky.

You’ll spend the day exploring the crater and enjoying a picnic lunch near a hippo pool. After your safari in the crater, you’ll head back to Arusha. Depending on your departure time, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a local craft market or enjoy a final meal in town before being transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
