Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a short briefing about the safari, the tour begins with a city excursion around Kigali.
The first stop is the Kigali Genocide Memorial, one of Rwanda’s most important historical sites, where visitors learn about the country’s history and resilience. Afterward, you may visit local craft markets where handmade souvenirs, baskets, and traditional art are sold.
Following lunch at a local restaurant, depart Kigali for Volcanoes National Park, located in the north of Rwanda near the border with Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours, passing through scenic countryside, terraced hills, and rural villages.
Upon arrival at your lodge, check in and relax while enjoying views of the surrounding volcanoes.

Early morning breakfast at the lodge before transferring to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi for registration and a briefing by park rangers.
During the briefing, visitors receive instructions about gorilla trekking etiquette and safety rules. Groups are then assigned a specific gorilla family to track.
The trek can take 1–5 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you will hike through dense bamboo forests and volcanic terrain while learning about the park’s ecosystem.
Once the gorillas are located, visitors are allowed one hour to observe them at close distance. Watching the gorillas interact, groom each other, and care for their young is a truly unforgettable wildlife experience.
After descending from the forest, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, where local communities showcase traditional Rwandan culture through dance, music, storytelling, and demonstrations of traditional lifestyles.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
