Day 1 – Arrival in Kigali & City Tour

Arrival at Kigali International Airport, where you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide.

Begin with a guided city tour of Kigali, including:

  • Visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial
  • Exploration of local craft markets
  • Views of Kigali’s vibrant neighborhoods and modern developments

Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 – Visit Nyanza King’s Palace

After breakfast depart for Nyanza, the historical capital of the Rwandan monarchy.

Visit the King’s Palace Museum, where you will learn about traditional Rwandan royal culture. The palace features:

  • A reconstruction of the traditional royal residence
  • Long-horned Inyambo cattle, considered sacred in Rwandan culture
  • Exhibitions about Rwanda’s royal history

After lunch continue the scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park.

Dinner and overnight at a lodge near the park.

Day 3 – Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Early breakfast before transferring to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing by park rangers.

Begin the gorilla trekking adventure, hiking through bamboo forests and volcanic terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family.

Once located, spend one unforgettable hour observing the gorillas as they feed, groom, and interact.

Return to the lodge for relaxation.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4 – Return to Kigali

After breakfast depart Volcanoes National Park and drive back to Kigali.

Depending on flight time, enjoy lunch or shopping before airport transfer.
