The route traverses through moorland and offers panoramic views of Kilimanjaro's peaks and the expansive Shira Plateau. Barafu Camp is the base for your summit attempt. Spend the afternoon resting and preparing for the climb. Enjoy an early dinner and get some rest, as you will start your summit attempt in the early hours of the following morning. Overnight at Barafu Camp.

    Day 6: Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp

    Start your summit attempt from Barafu Camp around midnight. The climb to Uhuru Peak, at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet), involves navigating steep and icy slopes.
