Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. This day is reserved for relaxation and recovery from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you might have the opportunity to explore the vibrant town of Arusha, with its bustling local markets and the fascinating Cultural Heritage Centre. You'll spend the night at a comfortable lodge or hotel, preparing for the adventure ahead.
Your safari adventure begins as you depart from Arusha early in the morning, heading to Tarangire National Park. This park is renowned for its massive elephant herds and majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape. You'll spend the day on game drives, spotting a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, buffalo, and numerous bird species. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty surrounding you. In the evening, you'll make your way to your accommodation, a lodge or tented camp located in or near the park.
After breakfast, you'll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a park famous for its tree-climbing lions and the large flocks of flamingos that populate the lake. The park's diverse ecosystems, ranging from dense forests to open grasslands, offer a rich variety of wildlife to observe. You’ll explore these landscapes on game drives, looking out for elephants, giraffes, hippos, and more. A picnic lunch will be provided at a scenic spot within the park. As you enter the Serengeti, you'll be greeted by the vast plains stretching out before you. The central Serengeti, known as Seronera, is teeming with wildlife throughout the year. You’ll embark on your first game drive here, searching for the Big Five and other iconic African animals. After a day filled with wildlife encounters, you'll head to your lodge or tented camp in the central Serengeti for the night.
Today, you’ll venture north towards the Mara River, a site famous for the dramatic wildebeest crossings during the Great Migration. The northern Serengeti is less crowded, offering a more intimate safari experience. As you explore this area, you’ll encounter abundant wildlife, including crocodiles, hippos, and the large herds that migrate through this region. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the wild, surrounded by the sounds of the Serengeti. Your day will end with an evening arrival at your lodge or tented camp in the northern Serengeti, where you’ll spend the night.
