Masai Mara Safari & Wildlife Exploration

Kenya

Today takes you to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve for comprehensive game drives through this spectacular wildlife area. Your expert guide will navigate the most productive wildlife corridors, wetlands, and savannah grasslands in search of Kenya's extraordinary megafauna. Expect sightings of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and the unique bird species that inhabit this remarkable ecosystem. Morning: Early breakfast at the hotel at 6:00 AM. Depart for a scenic 5-hour drive from Nairobi to the Masai Mara via the Rift Valley escarpment. The descent into the Great Rift Valley offers breathtaking panoramic views. Stop at the viewpoint for photographs before continuing across the valley floor passing through Maasai villages and vast open plains. Afternoon: Arrive at the Masai Mara National Reserve (1,510 sq km) and check into your ultra-luxury lodge. Enjoy a gourmet lunch with views over the Mara. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive from 3:00 PM to sunset. The Mara is home to the highest density of large predators in Africa including the famous Marsh Pride of lions. The reserve also hosts the Great Migration (July-October) when over 1.5 million wildebeest and zebras cross from the Serengeti. Evening: Sundowner drinks in the bush as the sun sets over the Mara. Watch the African sky transform into brilliant shades of orange and red. Return to your lodge for a gourmet dinner under the stars. Photography tip: sunset over the Mara savannah is one of Africa's most iconic photo opportunities.

Final Game Drive & Return to Nairobi

Kenya

Rise early for one spectacular final game drive in the magnificent surroundings of Lake Nakuru, capturing the extraordinary morning light and activity. Enjoy a farewell bush breakfast before packing up, bidding farewell to the bush, and making the comfortable drive back to Nairobi for your international departure. Morning: Early morning tea or coffee at 6:00 AM, then depart for a final game drive around Lake Nakuru. This is the best time for wildlife photography as animals are most active in the cool morning air. Search for any species you may have missed - leopards are frequently spotted in the yellow-barked acacia trees along the lake shore. Afternoon: Return to the lodge for a farewell bush breakfast or brunch. Check out and depart for Nairobi (approximately 3 hours). The drive takes you through the dramatic Rift Valley landscape with stops for photos and souvenir shopping at local craft markets along the way. Evening: Arrive in Nairobi (approximately 3:00-4:00 PM). Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight or onward connections. End of tour. We recommend booking flights departing after 6:00 PM to allow ample time for the drive and any unexpected delays.
