Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your trip, day by day
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Transfer to Hotel
After arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, transfer to your accommodation in Arusha. You receive a briefing about the upcoming safari and can prepare for the first day.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for large elephant herds and majestic baobab trees. You take a game drive, see animals in their natural habitat, and enjoy a picnic in the wilderness.
Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos and elephants. After a game drive, continue to Karatu, gateway to the Ngorongoro area.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
Full-day safari in the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You watch elephants, lions, rhinos and hippos. A picnic lunch in the crater rounds off the day, before heading back to the lodge.
Day 5: Karatu – Serengeti (Ndutu / Seronera)
Drive into the Serengeti, where the wildlife migration can be observed. Game drives in search of wildebeest, zebras and predators fill the afternoon.
Day 6: Serengeti – Full Day Game Drive
Full-day game drive in the Serengeti. You have the opportunity to follow the migrating herds and observe lions, leopards, cheetahs and other wildlife. Optional: lunch in the bush.
Day 7: Serengeti – Arusha – Departure
Breakfast and a final game drive. Afterwards, drive back to Arusha. Arrival in the evening, transfer to the airport or hotel for departure.

Best Time to Travel
Wildlife viewing is good year-round. The dry season (June-October) concentrates animals around water sources for easier sightings, and the Great Migration's river crossings peak July-October. Calving season in the southern Serengeti runs December-March.
