D1

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara – Karatu

Lodge oder Camp in Karatu

In the morning you are picked up from your accommodation in Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees. After a game drive, continue to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for tree-climbing lions and flamingos. In the afternoon, drive to Karatu for the overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Departure

Arusha

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Full-day safari in the crater, observing lions, elephants, rhinos, hippos and other wildlife. Picnic lunch in the crater. In the late afternoon, return to Arusha and transfer to your accommodation or the airport for departure.

Best Time to Travel

Wildlife viewing is good year-round. The dry season (June-October) concentrates animals around water sources for easier sightings, and the Great Migration's river crossings peak July-October. Calving season in the southern Serengeti runs December-March.
