Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your trip, day by day
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Transfer to Hotel
After arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport or in Arusha, transfer to your hotel. You receive a safari briefing and can prepare for the upcoming first day of safari.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Game drives through the savannah, lunch picnic and wildlife viewing. In the afternoon, return to the lodge or camp.
Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for flamingos, tree-climbing lions and elephants. Game drive along the lake and in the surrounding forests. Continue to Karatu, gateway to the Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
Full-day safari in the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Watch elephants, lions, rhinos, hippos and countless bird species. Picnic lunch in the crater and return to the lodge in the afternoon.
Day 5: Karatu – Serengeti (Ndutu / Seronera)
Drive into the Serengeti to follow the spectacular wildlife migration. Game drives in search of zebras, wildebeest and predators. Optional: lunch in the bush.
Day 6: Serengeti – Arusha – Departure
Breakfast and a final game drive in the Serengeti. Afterwards, drive back to Arusha with transfer to the airport or hotel for your onward journey.

Best Time to Travel
Wildlife viewing is good year-round. The dry season (June-October) concentrates animals around water sources for easier sightings, and the Great Migration's river crossings peak July-October. Calving season in the southern Serengeti runs December-March.
