You will be met by your dedicated English-speaking driver-guide and transferred to your Nairobi hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you have the option to visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage (open 5 PM feeding time) or the Giraffe Centre to feed endangered Rothschild giraffes. Nairobi to Masai Mara - Big Five Safari
After an early breakfast at 6:30 AM, depart Nairobi and drive southwest toward the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The 5-hour journey passes through the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment with spectacular viewpoint stops. Arriving at Mara Sopa Lodge by midday, you enjoy lunch before embarking on your first afternoon game drive from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The Masai Mara's open grasslands offer exceptional wildlife viewing with the highest concentration of predators in Africa — lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena — along with massive herds of wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, and elephant. During the Great Migration season (July-October), you may witness spectacular river crossings. The drive from Nairobi to the Masai Mara is an experience in itself, traversing the geological wonder of the Great Rift Valley. You will stop at the dramatic escarpment viewpoint where the valley stretches before you — a 6,000-kilometre rift spanning from Lebanon to Mozambique. Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru - Flamingos & Rhinos
After an early breakfast, enjoy a sunrise game drive in the Masai Mara from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM — your final chance to spot any missing species. Return to Mara Sopa Lodge for a full breakfast, then check out and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. The 4-hour drive takes you through the Great Rift Valley floor with views of volcanic landscapes. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge before an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its thousands of pink flamingos lining the shoreline, but also offers excellent rhino viewing — both black and white rhinos thrive here. The park is also home to lions, waterbucks, and over 400 bird species. The sunrise game drive in the Masai Mara is often the most productive of the day. As the first rays of light touch the savannah, predators that have been hunting through the night are still active — lions returning to their pride, hyenas at their dens, and leopards settling into trees with their kills. The morning mist rises from the Mara River creating a mystical atmosphere across the plains. Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha - Hippos & Boat Ride
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, searching for any wildlife you may have missed. Return for a full breakfast at the lodge, then check out and drive to Lake Naivasha — a 2-hour journey through the Rift Valley. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic boat ride on the lake where you will see hundreds of hippos wallowing in the shallows, fish eagles soaring overhead, and a remarkable diversity of birdlife. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake surrounded by papyrus swamps and acacia woodlands, home to giraffes, zebras, and waterbucks along the shoreline. Check in to Naivasha Sopa Resort and enjoy the afternoon at leisure by the pool or with an optional nature walk. Lake Naivasha offers a completely different safari experience — a water-based adventure on one of Kenya's only freshwater lakes in the Rift Valley. The boat ride takes you through channels of papyrus where hippos grunt and wallow, their massive bodies barely submerged beneath the surface. Fish eagles perch in dead trees along the shore, their haunting calls echoing across the water. After breakfast at Naivasha Sopa Resort, check out and depart for Amboseli National Park. The 4-hour drive takes you south through the Rift Valley past Nairobi and into the Amboseli ecosystem at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at Amboseli Sopa Lodge by midday and enjoy lunch with stunning views of Africa's highest peak. After a brief rest, embark on an afternoon game drive (3:30 PM - 6:30 PM). Full Day Amboseli - Sunrise to Sunset Safari
Today is dedicated to fully exploring Amboseli National Park with a full-day game drive. An early 6:00 AM start ensures you witness sunrise over Mount Kilimanjaro — one of Africa's most iconic sights. As the morning light paints the snow-capped peak gold, elephant herds emerge from the swamps to begin their day. After a bush breakfast in the wilderness, continue game viewing across the park's diverse habitats including the dried lake bed, marshlands, and acacia woodlands. Amboseli's 392 square kilometres support over 1,500 elephants, large lion and cheetah populations, and extraordinary birdlife including pelicans, kingfishers, and secretary birds. After a full breakfast at Amboseli Sopa Lodge, check out and begin the comfortable 4-hour drive back to Nairobi. The journey offers final views of the African landscape. Arriving in Nairobi in the early afternoon, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight. As you depart, you carry with you memories of the Masai Mara's golden savannah, the pink flamingos of Lake Nakuru, the hippo-filled waters of Naivasha, and the majestic elephants of Amboseli beneath Kilimanjaro. The final morning game drive in Amboseli is a bittersweet experience — the golden light of dawn illuminating Kilimanjaro one last time, the elephants emerging from their night-time shelter in the swamps, a final family of warthogs trotting across the track.
