My journey began as a porter on Mount Kilimanjaro. Carrying gear up Africa's highest peak taught me the mountain's every secret — the trails, the weather, the summit. I worked my way up, earned my certifications, and became a licensed guide for both Kilimanjaro and wildlife safaris.
In 2014, I founded African Majestic Adventures with a simple mission: to offer travelers an authentic, locally-owned experience that respects both the land and the people. Today, I've led hundreds of travelers to the summit of Kilimanjaro and through the wild plains of Tanzania's most famous parks.
When you travel with us, you're not booking with a foreign company — you're booking with a local Tanzanian who started at the bottom and built this company from the ground up. That's the difference.

How much does climbing Kilimanjaro cost?
Prices vary by route and duration. A 6-day Machame Route starts from approximately $1,800 per person, while longer routes like Lemosho (8 days) range from $2,200 - $2,800. This includes park fees, guides, porters, meals, and accommodation. Contact us for a detailed quote tailored to your group.
Which Kilimanjaro route is best for beginners?
The Marangu Route (5-6 days) is often recommended for beginners because it's the only route with hut accommodation. However, the Lemosho Route offers better acclimatization and scenery. We recommend starting with a 7+ day route to maximize summit success.
Do I need a visa for Tanzania?
Most nationalities need a visa to enter Tanzania. You can apply for an e-Visa online before travel or get a visa on arrival at the airport. We recommend the e-Visa to save time. Check your country's requirements or contact us for guidance.
Is Tanzania safe for tourists?
